Composite Filling

In the past, getting a cavity meant having a silver filling that shows everyone how bad your teeth are. Now, we can use composite fillings to treat your cavities and can be shaded to match the natural color of your tooth and give you that great healthy look. No one will be able to tell you got a filling and your smile will still look wonderful.

Emergency

We are your neighborhood family dentist and we want to help you when you have an emergency. We offer same-day or next day emergency appointment for new and existing patients. We try to accommodate emergency patients as soon as possible to see the dentist or a dental professional.

Dental Bridges

If you are missing teeth and notice strain while biting, having trouble speaking or chewing, bridges may be the ideal procedure to help your mouth healthy and beautiful. A bridge is a fixed dental restoration which is used to replace one or more missing teeth by joining an artificial tooth to existing teeth or dental implants. Bridges are unlike dentures, as it is not removable.

Braces (Orthodontics)

Align your misaligned teeth with braces: It is obvious that straight teeth create happier smiles. With braces, this goal can be achieved easily. Braces are used to align and straighten teeth which helps a person’s bite, fixes gaps and other flaws of the teeth or jaws.

Extraction

The removal of the teeth is carried out when a tooth is severely broken down and cannot be repaired or has become very loose or infected due to severe gum disease. Occasionally, children may require one or more tooth extractions as they are blocking the development of other teeth. Depending on the patient’s needs, an extraction can be done very quickly and easily (simply “pulling out” the tooth) or may be performed surgically.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth discolored by the age, food or tobacco consumption. By tooth whitening or bleaching our dentist or hygienist can make your smile brighter. However, not all of these discolourations respond to bleaching. Consult our dentist or hygienist to find out more.

Denture

A denture is a prosthetic that replaces missing teeth and gums as well as supports the cheeks and remaining mouth tissue. Dentures are removable, very natural looking and are very comfortable to wear with the new technological advances.

Children's Dentistry

At Smile Design Dental Center, our staff will teach your children how to practice good oral hygiene from a younger age. We teach our little clients the importance of brushing, flossing and the benefits of being seen by a dentist on a regular basis to have strong and healthy teeth.

Implants

Dental implants are a great choice to prevent jaw bone loss as artificial tooth roots are used to support a restoration for missing tooth or teeth. The dental implant procedure is categorized as a form of prosthetic (artificial replacement) dentistry, but also is considered a form of cosmetic dentistry.

Gum Graft Treatment

Gum graft surgery is performed to correct the effects of gum recessions. Gum recession occurs when the gum tissue wears away and exposes more of the tooth’s root. Many patients experience sensitivity when the roots are exposed. If left untreated, it could eventually lead to tooth loss. Many patients choose to have a gum graft surgery to enhance their smile or to protect the exposed tooth from damage.

Root Canal Treatment

Many people believe that removing or extracting a problematic tooth is the best solution. However, what is not realized is that other problems such as loss of chewing power and shifting of other teeth may actually arise.

In order to save an infected but otherwise sound tooth, the inside of the tooth (the root canal) is thoroughly cleaned and filled with special permanent medicine to seal it, after which a filling and possibly a protecting cap is placed so that your tooth maybe restored back to function.

Dental Crowns

Crowns are a type of dental restoration which when cemented into place, fully covers that portion of tooth which lies at and above the gum line. In comparison, composite fillings/inlays/onlays are dental restorations that are used to fill in or cover over just a portion of a tooth. Since dental crowns encase the entire visible aspect of a tooth, a dental crown in effect becomes a tooth’s new outer surface.

Invisalign

Invisalign® are an advantage to metal or ceramic braces as they are clear and removable. Book a consultation with our professional team in order to see the different options for your needs
